This weeks map is a supervised classification of Germantown, Maryland. We learned how to used classification tools in ERDAS imagine to classify and recode features. We used histogram plots of different bands to remove spectral confusion. In my map I used TM False Color IR because I believe it caused the least spectral confusion. I did enjoy this lab but I don't feel the most confident on the material.

Module 3 Lab
This weeks lab was to introduce us to ERDAS image. We began the lab by calculating EMR properties by using Maxwell's wave theory and Planck Relation. These are pretty simple equations but I struggled with knowing if I got the correct answer since no examples were provided.
Next we open ERDAS image for the first time. It was interesting learning a new program. We learned the basics on how to view images. The third part of the lab was to explore the metadata of the images. This gave me a better understanding of pixels, radiometric resolution, and spatial resolution.

Module 2 Lab
The purpose of this lab was to us LULC levels I and II to classify areas in a aerial image of Pascagoula, Mississippi. I created a feature class to use polygons to cover the entire photograph. I then used statistical Ground truthing accuracy to figure out how accurate out labeling was. I used the create random points to find 30 different points and compared these points to google maps. This lab was time consuming for me. I finish making all of my polygons for my LULC feature class and forgot to save. This was devastating for me since I only have so little time when Im not working or taking care of my 8 month old. This was a good lesson learned, always save, save, SAVE.

The purpose of this map was to show schools in Manatee County. We did this by downloading the school information from the Florida Department of Education website and getting the county information from the Census. We cleaned the data in Excel. When making this map, I had 89 rows instead of 88, which the lab stated I should have. After inspecting my data, I noticed there was an extra High School that must have recently been added. When adding points to the school that were not assigned a location outside of Manatee County, according to Google Maps. I had no trouble with this lab and enjoyed learning new Excel functions.

Vectors Lab
This weeks assignment was to learn how to use buffers and overlays. We made the map shown above by making buffers for roads and water. then we merged the buffers together using the union tool. We then had to figure out how to use these merged zones to create possible campsites for De Soto Nation Forest. This lab was hard for me, but once I figured it out, it felt very clear.

Lab 2
This map represents the University of West Florida's Main campus on a map of Escambia County. This Map shows the cities Ferry Pass and Pensacola, as well as Major rivers and the interstate.
Making this map was to practice data clipping and reviewing metadata. We used UWF GIS Online Essential map-making elements to finish this map. This map was straightforward, and I believe I made a pleasant-looking map while also showing all of the data.

Lab 1
This week's lab was just an overview of how to operate ArcGIS Pro. This week gave me a little trouble because I did not realize I needed to request access to use Argoapps. Once I got that down, the lab was pretty straightforward. I see my dots are larger than the example image. I kept them large because that was the "circle 1" option, but I found a way to make them smaller in the symbology pane.
